Matt Harrington, author, speaker and trainer on workplace generations will be a featured speaker at Zendesk's Relate Live NYC conference on October 23-24, 2017. The conference will be held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City.
Harrington will speak on how the best brands build trust and credibility with the Millennial generation (1980-2001). There are 75 million Millennials in the United States today. This generation surpasses all other generations as the largest workforce population, and by 2025 they will account for 75% of the global workforce.
“The Millennial generation’s purchasing power is undeniable and yet, they can be a tough customer to understand!” states Harrington. “One of the defining elements of the Millennial customer is their need to trust the brand they’re purchasing from. Trust is built on the character and credibility of a brand and how it demonstrates those virtues through every inch of its existence.”
Harrington has been studying the Millennial generation for over a decade now and is the founder of Growing Millennial Leadership, a program that has him traveling the country speaking to organizations about the talents, resources and relationships provided by the Millennial generation.
“I’m especially excited about this event as it takes a different look at the Millennial generation, having us explore trust and credibility which we don’t always get to touch upon. We have great Millennial brands out there like Warby Parker, Apple, Starbucks, Tom Shoes and others that do a terrific job to build trust and credibility and have those key deliverables as part of their core mission. I’m hoping we can take a broad look at this topic, study some brands that do it well, and then narrow it down to provide the attendees some applicable ‘to dos’ for their organizations by the end of the conference.”
